This is a hand thrown sgraffito tumbler, made by applying a colored slip on top of the clay and carving through the slip to the lighter surface beneath. Clear glaze on the outside and matte blue buttermilk glaze on the inside.  
 
Dishwasher safe, microwave safe though I always recommend handwashing handmade ceramics!
