Deer commune around a burning bush, a reference to the Biblical story and symbol of a holy space. Our natural landscape is considered a sacred space by the Native inhabitants, but the modern world is quickly overtaking these lands and pushing out the animals and rapidly changing the ecosystems. This piece is collaged atop a topographic map of Northern Colorado, close to where I live in Greeley, CO.
